Dublin, Ireland: Bigbelly’s Information & Communication Technology group is excited to take part in the upcoming 5G CityView Innovation Accelerator.
Held by the City Innovators Forum from October 7-9, this by-invitation event is the first of its kind.
"In this Accelerator, convened by the Technology and Entrepreneurship Center at Harvard and hosted by Dublin City Council, you will meet and learn from global experts on 5G, including leading academics, industry experts and cities like your own, who have or will be rolling out 5G pilots and platforms."
Wednesday, October 9th: Alex Gamota, SVP of Bigbelly’s ICT Division, Declan O'Dea, VP in International Business, and Don Coughlan, of Future Street Dublin will demonstrate the Telebelly, Bigbelly's Multipurpose Platform for hosting small cell. The team will explore how the telecom ecosystem is rethinking the way that small cells are identified, permitted, deployed and maintained. The Bigbelly & Future Street teams will discuss innovative systems, products and platforms that will deliver rapid, low cost, and minimal touch deployment methods.
The Smart Cities Innovation Accelerators are co-developed events by the Technology and Entrepreneurship Center at Harvard (TECH) with city leaders and industry experts. The Accelerator events highlight case studies, feature community problem-solving sessions, workshops and assessment exercises. The Accelerators are designed to help communities asses their current Smart City assets, goals, and how they can operate on the leading edge of interconnected tech.
The event "will convene across the city at the ideation space for Trinity College Dublin (Tangent), in the Docklands with a global IoT innovation and industrial 5G testbed and Dogpatch Labs (a Google for Startup hub and indoor testbed for urban innovation and IoT technologies) There will also be a tour of Dublin City Councils award-winning Smart Docklands District (ranked No.1 globally for FDI strategy for Smart Locations of the future by FDI intelligence) with a demo of Dublin’s neutral host 5G testbed ( recent winner of the Small Cell Forum’s award for best project for economic, social impact)"
The accelerator will feature over 70 city leaders from more than 30 countries and 5 continents. Quite literally, we look forward to Connecting!
